The course is clear
At Heraeus Electro Nite, we are dedicated to making a difference. That is why we have set a goal for 2030 to reduce our scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% compared to 2021. For the next steps we have committed ourselves to set near-term company-wide emission reductions in line with climate science.
We Optimize our Energy Consumption
Sustainability is at the core of our operations. Through rigorous sustainability initiatives, we continually strive to optimize our production efficiency, with a goal of using 20% less energy by 2030. To further reduce our carbon footprint, we are investing in solar energy at our sites, in order to cover 50% of our electricity consumption with renewables by 2030.
We provide Transparency for your Scope 3 Emissions
As advocates of transparency, we believe in taking accountability. Our sustainability roadmap guides us in recording and reducing our own scope 1 and 2 emissions. Over the past two years we have already successfully reduced our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 6%.
